Milan Design Week is approaching, and the new collaboration between Rometti and Poltrona Frau is ready to make its debut during the 2023 Fuorisalone. In addition to the unprecedented series created by the two brands, some of the most iconic Rometti pieces have been chosen to decorate the most interesting poles of the event, which has always brought together the best of international interior design. From 17 to 23 April, you will be able to explore new worlds to which Rometti adds his touch of timeless beauty.

Rometti brings at Maison&Objet 2023 the result of a journey made of research, irreverence, elegance and extraordinary collaborations. It is this very unique combination that gave life to brand new collections capturing the esprit libre of the historic ceramic workshop.

With “Crush Me If You Can”, Isabella Cosima Jahns wins first place in the Rometti 2022 Prize, the project, that for years has opened up new scenarios in the artistic processing of ceramics for young students of art school from all over the world.

On 8 October, the celebration of the Rometti Prize 2022 finds an exceptional space to welcome and announce the winners from this year’s shortlisted projects: RUFA, the Rome University of Fine Arts, right in the heart of the Italian capital.

The profound link between the Italian ceramic manufacturer Rometti and the world of art exhibitions continues to grow in an iconic space of contemporary expression: from 19th May to 5^th August 2022, the Negropontes gallery in Paris opens its doors to the first stage of a journey combining different art forms.

Until 7 May 2022, the Bettina Gallery in Paris will host in its space an iconic solo show by Rometti dedicated to the collaboration with Chantal Thomass: 9 plates designed by the irreverent stylist and designer made in a limited edition together with an exclusive sculpture that embodies the artist’s work, and some of the most loved pieces of his collections with Rometti made in new finishes.

An exciting journey into creativity from 24th to 28th March, where Paris will be the background of two important events: the prestigious Maison & Objet Hall 7 – Stand F76 and Rometti’s exhibition at the Bettina Gallery.

– Constant research and tireless experimentation have characterized my work. I have never been interested in creating beautiful shapes as an end in itself. Creating has always meant inserting an original and unpredictable element, finding an unexpected solution, an unimaginable colour. – This is how Roberto Capucci describes himself, universally acclaimed as a Sculptor of Silk. The designer’s work is celebrated at the Milan Triennale with the Fondazione Cologni dei Mestieri d’Arte – Metafore. -When Massimo and I entered his home for the first time, he had already drawn at least 100 vases inspired by his clothes for our collection together, and had arranged them along the entire sofa. We selected the best, and this is where one of our biggest challenges began. I reinterpreted the designer’s sketches wanting to make his dream come true by emphasizing the lively forms and giving them a sculptural identity. Together we translated the clothes into monumental architecture, chose the colours that most represented his story and gave life to the amazing pieces, says Jean-Christophe Clair, Artistic Director of Rometti while talking about the new and extraordinary collaboration with one of the most iconic stylists of all time: Roberto Capucci.
