We are pleased to announce the finalists of the 2024 Rometti Award, who will participate in the exclusive internship in the company from 22nd to 26th July. Now in its twelfth edition, the Award celebrates and promotes emerging talent in the field of ceramics.

FINALISTS 2024
This year the jury found itself evaluating over one hundred and ten projects, created by students from the following Italian and international Art Academies, Universities and Institutes of Design: Academy of Fine Arts of Florence, CAD Brussels, IED Milan, RUFA Rome, IID Perugia, Academy of Fine Arts of Brera, University of Genoa, ISIA Faenza and ISIA Pescara, Accademia Ligustica di Belle Arti of Genoa, University of Washington USA, ESAD Portugal, IIAD Turin, HIT Holon Institute of Technology of Israel, NID Perugia, Academy of Fine Arts of Perugia.
As per the announcement, six projects were awarded by the jury, made up of experts and chaired by the great designer Ugo La Pietra. The young creatives will live the experience of the internship at Rometti, from Monday 22nd to Friday 26th July 2024, where they will give concrete form to their ideas, side by side with the expert manufacturing workers.
The selected projects are: ADESSO, lamp by Watabe Yuri, Italiani Francesco, Sabatini Nicolò (ISIA Pescara); CREPE, lamp by Figliola Simone (IIAD Turin); ELLENIKA, set of vases by Russo Giulia (NID Nuovi design institute Perugia); GAIA, carafe by Lumumba Mila (CAD Brussels); THE LONG, THE SHORT, THE BUSY, set of vases by Vanoschi Iari (IED Milan); BLACK ON WHITE, candle holder by Cinquepalmi Federica (ISIA Faenza).
The awards ceremony with the final vote will then be held in October and there will also be a cash prize for the top three in the rankings. For everyone there is also the possibility, which has materialized several times in previous editions, that their project will be put into production by the manufacturer, thus becoming an important springboard into the world of work.
