The workshop was at the heart of the visit, where the students had the opportunity to directly experience working with clay. Under the guidance of skilled artisans, they were finally able to bring to life some of the projects they had previously developed at their university.
The visit to the workshop surely left an indelible mark on the hearts and minds of these young artists, who will take home not only their projects but also the memory of a special, sun-filled day that highlighted our beautiful region and introduced them to our excellent craftsmanship.
'We are always happy to welcome young students to our workshop,' said Massimo Monini. 'Direct contact with clay and the creative process can be a significant source of inspiration for them, while also helping to keep an ancient tradition alive by sharing it with new generations of artists from around the world.'
The collaboration between the University of Washington and Rometti is part of an international project aimed at introducing students to both traditional and innovative artistic techniques. Thanks to this initiative, the students were able to engage with an art form deeply rooted in our region, while also gaining new skills that will enrich their educational journey.
